MamaternityThe heart of maternityFormal notification of Rule changeMamaternity Charitable Trust board formally notifies all interested parties of the proposed changes to:
Rule 7.5 Period of office of Trustees: Trustees shall hold office for a period not exceeding two years from the date of appointment but shall thereafter be eligible for re-appointment for a further two terms (of two years each), so long as any period of appointment dowse not exceed six consecutive years.
The Board feels that there is the potential to lose valuable knowledge and skills by limiting the time Trustees can be in office. The Board is of the view that if a member wished to stay in office for longer than the term stated in Rule 7.5 they should have to option of doing so.
The Board therefore will be submitting the following proposal for ballot as part of the 2011 AGM:
- Delete Rule 7.5 Women's Lifestyle Expo
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
Kevin Huang, Acupuncturist will now be working from our rooms. He has
a special interest in pregnancy related problems such as morning sickness, pain during labour, post-natal depression and infertility and his treatment includes traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Kevin also treats injuries and is an ACC treatment provider. The very enthusiastic Mamaternity coordinators have decided to enter a Mamaternity Float in the Feilding and Palmerston North Christmas Parades. Can you please give us some ideas for the theme we should go with? Corrinne has visions of dressing someone up as a giant pregnancy test. What do you think?????

Both Mamaternity coordinators are now preparing to begin study towards their Childbirth Education Diploma's This means that they will be able to teach antenatal classes once they graduate. As there is a shortage of educators in the area they should be hot property!!!
